Created in 1991, a 320 acre artificial lake inside 3,592 acres surrounding the lake. It includes three resorts, MonteLago Village, Westin and Hilton. The dam creating the lake is 18 stories high, 4,800 ft long and contains approximately the same amount of dirt as Hoover Dam does concrete.
North Las Vegas is an independent city, it lies contiguous on the north side of the city of Las Vegas. Its population is approximately 252,000, making it the fourth largest city in the state of Nevada. Close to the mountains and a short drive to Mt. Charleston, it is the location of Nellis Air Force Base and the North Las Vegas Airport. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is nearby.
Community located in North Las Vegas occupying 1,900 acres in the northwestern area of the city. It opened in May 2003. It can be accessed from Aliante Parkway and north on the I-215 freeway.
Villages at Tule Springs (formerly Park Highlands project) is the newest Las Vegas area planned developments, adjacent to the Aliante community and both Creech and Nellis Air Force Bases. It is located at one of the greatest areas of Ice Age fossils in the world.
Formed in 1957, an unincorporated town, near Nellis Air Force Base on the west base of Frenchman Mountain, east of Las Vegas. If incorporated, with a population of 189,372, it would become one of the largest cities in Nevada.

About 30 miles southeast of Vegas with a the population of Boulder City was 15,023 and is one of only two places in Nevada that prohibit gambling. Nearby are Hoover Dam, one of the largest dams in the world, and Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States.

Located in Clark county, 90 miles south of Vegas, on the Colorado River, directly across from Bullhead City, Arizona. Population is 7,300.
