PREPARATION
BRIDGES AND BARRIERS

Four temporary vehicle bridges and three temporary pedestrian bridges erected (Flamingo bridge is four lanes and 800 feet long).

3,500 three feet tall concrete barriers installed on both sides of the track (7.6 miles total)
ROADS
-
Extensive street-paving over the 3.8-mile raceway (Koval to Sands, down Las Vegas Boulevard to Harmon).

Removal of medians and 5 to 10 inches of road. Replaced with a denser pavement and a ‘racing layer’. The surface should last about six years.

1,750 temporary light units installed along the track.

Upgrades to roads and other installations cost $80 million (Clark County asked to contribute half).
GRANDSTANDS AND VIEWING

Temporary grandstands for up to 150,000 spectators at various locations along track

Bellagio Grandstand in front of Fountains built and trees removed

Mirage bushes trees removed and volcano repurposed to Paramount display

Opaque fencing over Strip pedestrian walkways with 12 ft tall debris-catch fence on top

Caesars removes obelisk, pillars, statues and landscaping.

F1 paid for land and permanent pit, paddock and building with 28,000 Sq ft video screen (about $480 million) on Koval Lane.
